Our Usual Stop in place after Mass on Sunday morning downtown. My Mom is not a big fan of eating Breakfast out and she always leaves this place happy so that speaks volumes. Anyway the coffee is hot and the food and baked goods are made to order It can get very busy and sometimes you might have to wait for a table but its worth it. I would reccomend trying it while in the city.

So I'm sailing down the east coast, and happen to overnight in St Augustine. Come morning, I wander into town and have the incredible good fortune to happen into the Bunnery. I'll admit that the free wifi drew me in, as it had been DAYS since I'd seen Facebook...lol But I am oh-so-glad for any reason to drop in there. The biscuits and sausage gravy was enough to please a hardcore Texan, and no one seemed to mind that I camped out at the end of the bar for a couple of hours(I kept an eye on the crowd, prepared to split if it turned out my seat was needed). I had an on-and-off chat with the very pleasant guy busing tables, about sailing and New York and Texas, who turned out to be the owner...how often do you see the owner busing tables? When I finally left, reluctantly, I left my eBook on the counter, and this little gadget is CRUCIAL to my sanity on a boat for days at a time...walked in this morning, and I wasn't 3 steps in the door before the owner spotted me, smiled, and when I asked about the eBook came up with it in seconds, causing me endless relief, compounded by the incredible cinnamon rolls that I am currently scarfing as I roll on down the coast, saddened that I'm moving away from the source of those rolls. I got to eavesdrop on a number of conversations between him and staff, enough to realize they have a great thing going, employees and employer alike, something increasingly rare especially in food service, and you could see the results in the way the staff interacted with the customers. Friendly, prompt service, with the rare error corrected quickly and cheerfully. As done as I am with foodservice I would be happy to work there, and it makes me sad that I may never get another opportunity to patronize this place. In short, great, friendly staff, competent and friendlt management, great food, great atmosphere....wish I could go back tomorrow morning. Oh, and there's an incredibly cute tattooed blond working there that I will forever regret not having attempted to lure her away to a life in the Carribbean......

Excellent ham croissant, sticky bun, coffee drinks. Fast service even when it's busy!

We stopped in here while walking down St. George Street because we needed two things: hydration and cookies. Dorian went for a pecan shortbread and I went for the classic chocolate chip. The chips in my cookie were melty, and the cookie was all around all the things a chocolate chip cookie should be. Her shortbread cookie was melt in your mouth buttery and lovely. They had a good selection of treats to choose from, ranging from sticky buns to really dense looking chocolate brownies. The service was okay, and they are clearly a busy joint. And yes, cash only.

Coffee here was fantastic. Nice little breakfast cafe. I had the eggs benedict. It was good though not awe inspiring. Pastries looked great. Will have to come back to try them.

My wife and I visited this place after reading a couple of reviews on Yelp. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The portions are just right and the lattes are scrumptous. We enjoyed this place so much that the morning we were departing to Miami we ordered food to go.

Some places are made for tourists. Some places are made for locals. Every o ce in a while you find a place that is a must stop no matter who you are. The Bunnery is that kind of place. We visit here whenever we are in St Augustine ( which is often) and have never been disappointed by a single thing. It is staffed by hip twenty somethings who are polite, attentive, and care about the food they serve. They serve various breakfast items, frozen and specialty drinks, but as the name suggests, the star of the show is their bakery. The spinach & cheese and ham & cheese croissant are the best I've ever had. Good, fresh ingredients and buttery, flaky pastry make these an excellent breakfast or lunch. There are too many selections in their bakery case to highlight every one so do what we do: walk in, use your eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. Look at the case, smell what's coming out of the oven, talk to the staff, and listen to their suggestions. The oven is up front so there is constant baked goodness being brought out to cool in the front windows.

Great place to have breakfast! They have pastries as well as hot breakfasts--anything from breakfast sandwiches to pancakes to omelettes. They also have a full service coffee bar and good quality juices. I went twice--on Saturday and Sunday. It seems to be busy on Sundays, but I still had no trouble getting a table. It is everything you would want out of a coffee shop/breakfast spot.

  • Cat S.

Their croissants were some of the best I've had, and we got a shortbread cookie that was very large and tasty. It was full of customers and had many other good looking options. Definitely worth checking out.

Everytime we walk down St. George Street, I try to find some excuse to come in here. Sometimes, I try to convince my husband that we need to buy a couple bottles of water before heading out to the beach. And, oh it just also happens to be a bakery. The truth is that I love bakeries, and I especially have a weakness for chocolate chip cookies. The Bunnery has great chocolate chip cookies. They also have soups, salads, and sandwiches. They are usually crowded, though and they only take cash. Works out if you're on the go.

Our favorite breakfast spot in St. Augustine. I have been going to this little spot for almost 20 years. You can count on the friendliness, cleanliness, prices, and overall quality! This place serves St. Augustine well!

  • Taryn C.

TRY THEIR STICKY BUN! You have to. It's probably the best I've ever had and every time I'm in St. Augustine I get it.

Great gluten free breakfast place!! I was shocked when I heard there was gluten free french toast available. Plus to top it off they have an incredible mocha turtle coffee! Everything was wonderful and we will be back next time we visit the area. :)

  • Anhtuan T.

This place is great. I alway get the southern eggs when I come. They also have gluten free options including French toast. They are usually pretty busy on the weekends so expect a wait. It is definitely worth it.

Food was decent but the prices were very reasonable, service was friendly and our food came out quick. Had biscuits and gravy and they were pretty good. Fairly good smoothies too.

In a town that failed to hold my attention, it was a pleasure to stumble into this bakery. Sometimes you "can" judge a place by number of people in the house... and the Bunnery was "packed" and everyone was laughing, smiling and enjoying their time here (though a little on the loud side). And the place is on the larger side so filling up and having so many people waiting for a table is quite a feat. They even had a line out the door of people getting bakery goods and coffees from the take-out counter. The dishes I saw on tables looked good and by the way we saw the waitresses buzzing about it seems that they are on the ball. We had plans to head out of town but wanted a little bite for the ride... luckily that never-ending line out the door moved very fast. So fast that I barely had a chance to examine the glass bakery case when the girl asked what I'd like. If you ever take space in this line just "be ready" to shout out your order. My iced latte was superb... my ham and swiss croissant sandwich was excellent... the raisin scone was a bit bland and dry (but then again I think all scones bland and dry). Although I liked my ham and swiss croissant sandwich, I prefer it to be heated or at least warm (preferably heated to melt the cheese some) but they do not heat anything up... when I asked if they could heat mine up they simply pointed at a self-serve micro-wave oven... not only do I not want to do it myself but I really would prefer a toaster over. I don't understand that they can't heat it up considering they "supposedly" bake the goods on the premises (this issue almost brought them down to a 3 star review, hmm)

This is the perfect weekend morning breakfast spot. If you want something fast to eat while you stroll down Saint George Street try the Ham & Cheese or Spinach & Feta Croissants. The eggs benedict and eggs florentine are to die for if you have the time to sit. Fresh and made to order pretty quickly. Their coffees are large and eye opening, with the perfect amount of chocolate and caramel in their Turtle Lattes. It is difficult to find a seat most days but after hovering around a bit while they make your coffee, usually a table opens up.

I had breakfast today here and it was the best French toast that I ever eaten before I love it. Definitely next time that I visit Sant Agustin I'll go to have breakfast here.... Great please, great food!!!

Cheesecake brownie, get it, eat it, awesome! And the coffee is pretty good, too! I did not try the soups, sandwiches, and other offerings, but I was impressed with the quaint feeling. We have been coming to visit St. Augustine on a yearly basis since I was very little. Surprisingly, it was only a year or so ago that I finally stumbled upon this place. It has become a staple of my grandmothers trip to the old part of town. She stays in St. Augustine most of the cold months, coming down from Michigan. As far as I know tho is the best place on the tourist strip for coffee and pastries. The staff was friendly, storefront was clean, and overall the Bunnery has a good old time feel to it. I would recommend some coffee and a snack here to anyone spending the day sight seeing in downtown St. Augustine.

Great cafe for an in and out breakfast. My wife is a coffee lover and this is her preferred destination in St Augustine for that. They also have above average food and carry gf treats. The owner, Pam, chatted with me briefly and is a delight.

It was not as expected. Biscuits and gravy were not very good--strange meat taste to gravy. Could use a little cleaning!

Very mixed about this place - half the staff (the cashiers) were really nice but the hipsters in the kitchen were not helpful when I showed up at the window without a number and acted like I was an idiot. The hashbrowns were overlooked and everything in general was way too salty. Decent coffee and the kids I was with liked the baked goods. We had 6 people and it was nice that they had a few long tables to accommodate. Got a lot of exercise jumping up every 5 seconds to get food, utensils and others as there is no table service.

I was in town looking for a good breakfast spot and was told this was the best breakfast in town.. And it sure was! SO good! It was SOO packed when I was there yet they somehow make it work. They are very efficient. And sooo tasty!

Food took a long time to get to us for a place that wasn't that busy. The bun on my burger was very good, the grilled cheese was classic, and the hot dog satisfied our child. The turkey panini was good. Overall, the food was satisfactory without being too notable.

  • Jeremy L.

Great breakfast! Friendly staff and good country diner cooking. No table service, which I didn't mind at all. Once you order, you seat yourself and they call your order number. You get your grub from a cook side service counter so it's nice and hot. Get here early because it fills up fast! Within biking distance from the beach and lots of nearby shopping. Walk off your breakfast at the gorgeous Flagler College campus nearby!

Great cinnamon buns and perfect coffee. What could be better? The spinach salad was fresh and the dressing devine! Loved it.

Best brunch spot I've found in St. Augustine so far. Good pastries and entrees. The specialty drinks can be a little weird (I had the Easter special that had Peeps in it, I wasn't a fan). Latte was great. My favorite item so far is the spinach and feta croissant - it's quick, tasty, and filling. Really enjoyed the French toast as well. Super casual. Good for groups as it's easy to order and pay separately.

  • Andrea G.

Went to brunch and was VERY surprised that the had Gluten Free bread available! Breakfast is my favorite and being gluten intolerant enjoying pancakes and french toast is something I miss greatly, so it's a real treat to find a breakfast place that has gluten free options. I saw they had gluten free toast available and asked if they could make french toast. The woman went back to the kitchen and asked. When she returned they told me they could. It was delicious! Very happy tummy and girl right here!

Highly unorganized. No communication between workers. I literally heard someone yell "Don't take any more orders for breakfast or lunch!". Its 12:10 and you're not taking orders for lunch? First and last time visiting.

Been here twice...in the last week... Looking forward to visiting St Augustine again so we can come back. This morning was southern eggs and biscuits. Service was good as well :)

We waited an hour for burnt sausage, rock hard pancakes, and undercooked eggs. The portions were small, and the check was large. No one in our party of 6 was satisfied at all. There was also hair in my eggs. Absolutely disgusting.

Fantastic Breakfast in the heart of St. Augustine. I had wonderful biscuits and gravy with cheese grits. I would have loved to try one of the great looking pastries, but it will have to wait for my next visit.

Went inside to get something starchy for my pregnant wife and was amazing by how good the food was. She had a ham and cheese roll which was amazing and I had a pecan roll. These were both very tasty and fair priced. I will be back again!

This place is a solid 4-stars for most reasons, but earned a 3 for our order getting messed up. We had a chocolate croissant- tasty and fluffy, an apple turnover flaky and pretty darn good, and a few breakfast sandwiches. They were average- the croissant one was incredibly soggy- the bagel one they had forgotten to toast the bagel. Not to mention what we had ordered (the toppings) were on the incorrect sandwich... I am not the type to complain, I just ate it and that was that... it was tasty, it worked for a lunch. I would go back again for baked goods only probably- they are worth the price.

Had the croissant egg sandwich with spinach and feta, it was incredible! My daughter enjoyed the super cute chicken little hot chocolate complete with lots of whipped cream and a chick peep! She also had the sausage croissant. Sausage was a little too spicy for her 8 year old tastebuds but I thought it was good. Ordered quickly but was surprised that French toast would take 20 minutes or more so we opted for a muffin in its place. The rest of the food came quick and we enjoyed our meal and the staff was nice too

Breakfast was perfect!! We opted for the bunnery homemade biscuits and gravy!!! The best biscuits my husband said he has ever eaten!!! I had the homemade croissant with scrambled egg with fresh spinach and Swiss cheese!!! We started with homemade cinnamon roll with pecans!!!! It was all very delicious!!!!

I came to the Bunnery on a wet Sunday morning around 11 looking for a snack and coffee for me and my family. Th pastry case looked delightful! We purchased a chocolate croissant and a walnut strudel, both to share as they were quite large. I also ordered a white mocha (they use Torani White Mocha Sauce! Yum! ) and a coffee. All the food and drinks were thoroughly enjoyed by my family. The kitchen is located in the back and we could see the cooked dishes as they were served and they looked nice too - wish I had come here earlier for a full breakfast instead of eating the mediocre food at my hotel.

Savory croissants not warmed. Over 12 min to make a latte, done with breakfast when it was ready. Really good chocolate croissant.

  • Jess D.

Breakfast was very good. I enjoyed scrambled eggs with bacon, home fries, and toast. I was very pleased that they offered gluten free toast and when they were asked if they could make gluten free french toast they obliged. My cousin got the regular french toast and was not pleased. She said it was very mushy in the middle. I'm hoping it was just an off day.

Nice local place on St George St in St Augustine. Open for breakfast and lunch. Nice bakery. Excellent place for a coffee and a sweet. Place is always clean.

Please don't waste your time here... For some incomprehensible reason, this place has 4 stars on yelp. OUR FOOD TOOK 36 MINUTES from order to table. All we ordered was pancakes and French toast. The pancakes were dense and the sausage was bland. I work in a restaurant myself, so I understand that restaurants get busy, but the manager expressed no concern when I spoke to him. He basically seemed to not care because most of his customers are tourists that will never come back anyways, and he'll always have new victims next week.

  • Terri F.

We happened upon this gem by chance. What a find! Everything is homemade and delicious. Its not fancy, you order at the counter and pick up your order at the window, but it was all fresh and yummy. We even went back for lunch.

  • Susan N.

The Bunnery became our "go to" breakfast spot during our three day stay in St. Augustine. Enjoyed the pastries (croissants/apple strudel) and coffee/tea drinks. Liked the fact that you could get a little or a lot of icing on your cinnamon roll. Casual and laidback.

    (4)
  • Ronnie B.

When I tried their fresh croissants for the first time, it reminded me of the wonderful, flakey, buttery and delicious croissants from the bakeries of France. The coffee is good too. This is my favorite cafe in Saint Augustine!

  • E.B. M.

Every time we go, they are out of something we order and we don't find out until the rest of our party is called. The service is slow and elitist. the food is overpriced and just not all of that. They have a great location in the historic district, but other than that, I don't see how they stay in business.

Had the panini pollo, which was very tasty. A little overpriced at 8.50, but very good.

I actually passed by, intent on waiting a little longer before eating lunch. While I was starving, there was still a little time before meeting my fiancee after the conclusion of her appointment and I figured we would eat together. So I walked a few steps past the storefront, but those cartoon-like wispy tendrils of fresh bakery scent followed me, grabbed me by the nostrils and pulled me in the front door like those wondow sill pies always did to Sylvester the Cat. The French Press was the menu item that broke my resolve to wait, ham and cheese on a pressed croissant. It's warm and soft, a flavorful and satisfying sandwich. It's maybe not the place to go if you're looking for massive quantities, but just perfect for a light lunch that will satisfy you without slowing you down for all of the other touristy things you've got to do that day. The staff seems great, one guy struck up a quick conversation with me while he was cleaning nearby tables, and the whole place felt welcoming and friendly.

  • Ivan M.

Amazing food/pastries. Must try the apple strudel. Chicken walnut sandwich has a kick of curry, amazing. The cremé brûlée coffee doesn't really taste like cremé brûlée. Add a spritz of dark roast wakes up the cup!

    (5)
  • Ana B.

Weird plasticky cheese on my egg sandwich, supposedly cheddar cheese. The biscuits and gravy arrived cold, and honestly, Waffle House does them better. ( Or, at least at Waffle House, the food shows up hot!) The coffee was watery, and the bathrooms were dirty. Wouldn't go again.

If you are in the Ancient City and want a great lunch; this is it. They bake their own rolls, buns, croissants and more. Very friendly and helpful staff. I order the Bunnery Burger and was not disappointed. 1/3 lb burger with all the trimmings. I added the optional cheese and bacon. And, of course, it came on a fresh baked bun. I'd rate it one of the best I've experienced. Pam ordered the Roasted Turkey on the recommendation of staff. She too enjoyed it. Turkey was great complete with Cranberry Sauce spread on the whole wheat bread. Important: We were wondering St George St on a busy Saturday, intrigued by the menu and decided to try it. Several booths and small tables. Order at the counter before taking a seat!! There is no wait service. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Great service. Next time I'll order a few fresh baked croissants to take out. Yum.

This place was walking distance from the Hotel we stayed at. We chose to have breakfast on both mornings we were in town. Service is fast and orders are prepared upon ordering. Cappucino was excellent. French toast is very tasty and the croissant sandwiches are big and well made. Staff was very quick and very welcoming. Place gets very busy but they are well staffed. I liked that they came around and cleared the table for us.

Starting with what someone else already wrote because its important: Cash Only. Aside from that, they have good food, excellent pastries and ok service. Its always packed so keep that in mind when you wish to go. The prices by the way are excellent and I definitely adore their croissants with coffee. They make a great breakfast.

I came to this place at least three times during my visit to St. Augustine. Twice for breakfast and once Lunch. Each time was worth it, awesome coffee and the pastries were out of this world. Fresh cinnamon rolls and the orange juice muffin was moist and brought such a unique perspective to a muffin. Put this place on your list, or you are missing out.

This is a great breakfast place in St. Augustine. When I think of breakfast I want syrupy, buttery goodness and this place knew how to serve it. I got the pancakes and they were cooked perfectly, but i secretly wished I would have ordered what my boyfriend got- The Real French Toast. They use real french bread and ... holy cow ... they were delicious (better than my mom has ever made) :) The only flaw is that if they're really busy, it may take a little longer for the food, but that's because they make it to order so it's fresh. Another FYI ... you pick up your own food when it's ready, so be sure to pay attention when they call out your order number.

Loved this place. Not fancy. Order your food and pick it up at the counter but breakfast was yummy. Gravy over the biscuits was great and the dark coffee was excellent. Going back for the pecan sticky buns. Not good for big parties as seating is limited.

Excellent! Very chill atmosphere. I got the frozen Arnold Palmer and it was very refreshing. My family got smoothies that were also creamy and delicious, though my mom originally got a frozen cappuccino and it was quite watery. They were fast, and the pancakes I ordered were fluffy and absolutely delightful. As an added bonus, the cook wasn't that bad looking either ;) definitely a place we need to go to every time we stop in St. Augustine.

Just om for lunch. My wife had the feta and walnut salad. She enjoyed it, but there was not much feta on it. I had the cubana and have had much better. The meat was tender, but had hardly any flavor. It was also on a pressed bun, not Cuban bread. We got the just before the kitchen closed at 3pm so maybe that was the issue. Many better places in St Augustine.

Great little place to stop while in Old St. Augustine. The cookies are big enough for three to share. My panini was delicious, fresh and came with a small salad for a little up charge.

We were visting St Augustine and had never been to this cafe. We sat in a booth and waited and waited. Apparently, you are supposed to get a menu at the front and order from the counter. You then go to the window from the kitchen to pick up your food. There were no signs that said that and none of the 3 or 4 staff members that walked by gave any indication we needed to order at the counter. My husband and I both ordered biscuits and gravy. We easily could have split and order, it was huge! Again, a little guidance from the staff on the portion size might have been nice. The gravy was also very spicy. I had a few bites and couldnt eat any more because of the heat. Normally, if wait staff see a plate with only a few bites, they will ask if everything is ok. Not here! They just asked if I was done and took my plate. There are so many other places to eat in town so we wouldnt go back.

The name leads you to believe you are going to have a "Lady's Lunch" but don't be fooled. It is more like a cafeteria with sticky floors, unrefined finishes, a line of dirty dish buckets on the back counter (the dishes leave, the buckets don't), and a gross (!) bathroom. The soup was very good and the sandwich was skimpy. The alley looks quant until you walk it and realize you have been sucked into tourist-trap hell. We won't be back.

  • Tia S.

I thought this place was the worst! I would definitely not recommend it or go back. On top of food that is just mediocre at best, the service was deplorable. At this establishment the food is picked up at the window by you once your number is called leaving way for error if there are several orders in the window. While present at the restaurant a man realized after sitting at his table this had occurred by a member of his party. He shared this with the staff who picked up the plate from the table and took it to the window. The gentleman then told the female cook to make it look pretty. She picked up the plate and dropped it back down then served it to the rightful customer. HOW DISGUSTING and unsanitary!!!! If only I were a food inspector, can you say huge violation. That food should have been tossed! I almost walked right out of the door at that moment. But for the sake of my friends I stayed and the food was just as disappointing! It was severely lacking in flavor. I thought this was a huge waste of money and we ended up going to get something else to eat.

One word: Breaaaaakkkkffaaaaasssstttt!!! Never thought I would find a cinnamon roll that rivals Cinnabon, but here it is. They have such a great, classic menu, and everything is GREAT. You're even luckier if you can snag a booth. People are constantly coming and going, reading and leaving papers, chatting, meeting, and catching up. Order when you walk in, and wait for the cooks to ring the bell and yell your number. It's on historic St. George street, so you have to park "around" and then walk, but its a great place to fill up before you start your stroll in the morning.

Very good, nice variety of breakfast items. Good coffee. Was oddly one of the more memorable times on our vacation. Had a nice time with my wife while having coffee and breakfast.

Superb vegetarian sandwich on freshly baked bread. Yum. Order was ready in a short amount of time considering the number of people in the cafe. Pickles and Chips were a nice extra. Cups offered for free filtered water, sweet. You order your food at the counter and then they call your number when it's ready.

  • Jeff O.

Had a fantastic hamburger there at lunch. My wife really enjoyed her tuna salad on croissant.

  • Alana C.

Pretty good food, but not excellent. I ordered scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes, etc. etc. and I enjoyed it. My food was ready in less than 5 minutes which was good. A good place to grab some breakfast, lunch or a pastry--I'd probably return since it's conveniently on St. George and I'm often downtown whenever I'm in the Aug!

    (3)
  • Hope S.

I'd probably give the Bunnery more stars if I had actually consumed a breakfast there, but I have not yet as they don't serve it all day. (understandably/small kitchen). But I do love their baked goods, and their espresso. (mmm candy corn latte!) My knitting group has taken over one of the booths every Sunday for the past month now, and we're all satisfied. One draw back however....CASH ONLY, try to have it before you go to St. George street, where you'll have to pay some kinda ATM fee to get any cash out.

  • Ashley H.

My husband and I ate here for breakfast on 3/27. You order at the counter and then pick up your food when it is ready at the window. Good coffee and biscuits and gravy. Nice staff, clean place. The pastries smelled good but my biscuits and gravy meal was so large I couldn't partake. I would return to try them though!

The Bunnery six months ago would have gotten a solid 4 star review from me. This cute, and very tasty, cafe in St. Augustine has been a favorite of my husband and I. No matter how great your concept for a retaurant, no matter how amazingly tasty your product might be, if you have rude and unprofessional staff your customers suffer and then you lose them. The counter-service may not even bother you until you have an incorrect order or they rang something up wrong. As we found out that's when there is an issue, because they are not willing to fix the problem and admit that maybe they made a mistake. Sorry tasty goodies, I'll miss you.

Great little snack stop. Maybe it was because we were so hungry, maybe it was because it was warm inside and cold outside. But They have great little prebaked croissant sandwiches for $3.00!! Service is whats to be expected at a counter service place, but just fine, and they let us sit without interruption as they were closing up. I would definitely go back. CASH ONLY!!

The lady and I were in St. Augustine last weekend and stumbled upon this place while looking for a late breakfast. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is very unpretentiously diner-esque. It's sort of a self-serve joint (you order at the counter and pick up your food at the kitchen window) and the menu choices are somewhat limited, but if that's what keeps the prices low (and trust me, they're extremely low) I'm all for it. Oh, and the Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee is out of this world. I could bathe in it.

The pastries are good. But we also came here for lunch and the food was unimpressive. My partner got the Cuban sandwich which was just ok, nothing remarkable. I got Pam's special salad and it was just chopped pieces of lettuce with burnt candied pecans.

The Bunnery serves mostly sandwiches and bakery items. Everything is usually very good. Not many places in St. Augustine take plastic so it is nice to add one more finally.

Hot damn, this is some tasty shit. A person of the night like myself rarely ventures out on the brighter half of the day to seek nourishment. We just don't do breakfast! No need, no desire, and generally it means waking up before noon (insanity). On the rare occasion, though, that pre-noon activity becomes unavoidable, it's nice to start it all out with a decent cup of coffee and something horribly unhealthy to weight down the stomach. THE BUNNERY PROVIDES! If you've followed my reviews for any length of time, you may have noticed that I am a fan of the burrito. Truly a master form of culinary invention, a good burrito is like a victory for the digestive system. Now, once in a while one encounters the AM cousin: the Breakfast Burrito. Breakfast has some good flavors. Eggs. Salsa. Sausage. Bacon. Potatoes. What-have-you. Why not, god dammit, why not throw them together to be enjoyed at once in a soft tortilla wrapping? Well, the Bunnery got the memo. And while their breakfast burritos are a simple, humble incarnation of the item--being a mere mixture of two scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa and a choice of meat--they are delicious. The sausage, my friends, is some tasty tasty stuff. As for the coffee? Well, my coffee shop standard, a white chocolate mocha with an extra espresso shot, came out just right. And once in a while it's nice to sip coffee from one of those comically oversized mugs, rather than a paper cup. Well played, The Bunnery, well played. I did enjoy your offerings. I expect I will again in the future. And visitors to St. Augustine would be well advised to do the same.

Great food and good strong coffee. I had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, it was awesome. It's hard to find a table, and the tables don't really get cleaned off because people are jumping onto the open tables. I will go back, good stuff.

Great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. The spinach and feta and egg croissant is tasty and not too expensive. If you're looking for a pastry the pecan sticky bun and blueberry boy bait are fantastic. There's a microwave in the back that helps if things aren't warm still. This is also one of the tastier lattes and coffees I've had in town.

If you are strolling down St. George this is a great little bakery for breakfast or lunch. MY panini was delicious and my mother ate her entire feta walnut salad. Very friendly stay and reasonable prices.

What an absolute pleasure. The breakfast was amazing. I had a fresh baked croissant with eggs florentine and a double cappuccino. One of the best egg florentine i have ever had. Great atmosphere, staff and energy.

I love the Bunnery for what it is: low cost breakfast food. The Bunnery offers baked goods that are made fresh on site, as well as a full breakfast menu in a convenient location right off Saint George Street with parking in the rear and a back door that you can use to access the restaurant. When you enter, go to the front cashier and place an order, then look for a table. After ordering it's basically a self-serve restaurant with a bussed table, so you can go fill your coffee cups, soda, etc. and wait for your order to be prepared. Once it's ready, your order is available at the back window. A word of warning, it's very easy to end up with the wrong tray back there so be careful when selecting your food. The food quality is great in the bakery, and kind of "okay" in the hot food in the back. The bacon is thin but reasonably crisp, the eggs are usually a bit underdone (they clearly have the griddle too hot). The toast and biscuits are good. The gravy is pretty good. Omelets are good. Some of the breakfast sandwiches are huge and pretty good. The bakery is really where this place stands out, as their cinnamon roll is loaded with sugar dispensed from a giant container. I personally love getting baked goods and sitting with a coffee. This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast in Saint Augustine, and getting here early to enjoy the morning is a must-do event during your visit.

The Bunnery used to be my favorite stop in St Augustine. Sad to say things do not stay the same. They removed my favorite cookies, but told me they would make them on request. When i did request they acted like i was a big inconvenience, and they were doing me a tremendous favor. They are not customer friendly. Also they keep ridiculous hous for a bakery in a tourist town. I was so thankful when the Chocolate Turtle opened, and now I nave a place to go where I can have coffee and dessert, at whatever hour I choose. I miss my Sand Dollar cookies, perfect name/flavor for a beach town, but more than that I miss being appreciated by The Bunnery staff. Barb Bendick

Delicious breakfast. The food was excellent, but expect to serve yourself and scramble for a table.

This place was recommended and although the food was good the service was horrible. It's not season, it's Aug 8th so there is NO excuse for a 45 min ticket time, we ordered two sandwiches. My husband talked to owner and he suggested that we go to McDonalds if we weren't happy! Next time we will thank you very much!

The Bunnery was just ok. The buns were served at room temp, not warm, as advertised. The Mac and cheese order was a little in the small size, for a ten years old. Cashier had piercings on every facet of her face. Not sure if I wanted to see that first thing in the am before my coffee. Maybe at night in a dark goth bar may be more appropriate.

Holy crap, the worst cookies EVER! We tried the Pecan Bar, Mojito Shortbread, plain Shortbread and "snickerdoodle" style shortbread. They were so dry they crumbled in your hands. Stingy with the butter and sugar as ingredients! Some people prefer a dry bland cookie, if that is you, then you will love these $2 cookies. If you like a flavorful cookie, skip these. The coffee, however, was excellent.
